Date: 16th August 01 / Written By:Dark Bizoas Over at CS Central Network, a new map is being made. Exclusive screenshots can be viewed there as well. It is called de_ironwill. It looks alot like de_train but it is definatly not a copy. The map is set in the nightime and looks incredible. Hopfully the programmers over at Counter-Strike.net will put this map in the 1.3 update because it is looks like a winner. To see screenshots click here.

Date: 13th August 01 / Written By:MaRRa-Kai Another update, from cs[uk], once again submitted via the feedback section of their site. This time we have a guide for grenades...yes grenades. Apparently they are more useful than we think. Aim to throw the smoke from a sheltered location into the open. The grenade then takes approximately 5 seconds to produce sufficient smoke to be useful. Any motion through the smoke must be fast, as it will invariably draw the attention of trigger-happy enemies. Interested? Or do you just like the idea of trigger-happy enemies? The Tactician it's all about tactics, seriously! If you run gung-ho into the middle of a big fight, the chances are that someone's going to ram a large projectile into you at high velocity pretty quickly. Punkbuster has produced a database of people that have been caught with cheats on their pc while playing counter-strike on a Punk Buster server, it is called punkbusted. Go check it out, it is really interesting, you even have the last 5 people to be gripped. So if you see MaRRa-Kai, just ignore it...just a coincidence.

cs[uk] are really starting to gather these articles in form the public, and what talented people you are! Yet another intriguing, and controversial article has been posted, a sort of encore of Stumpy_cat's original "Has CS Changed".
Here is an extract:
"I am no veteran to the game like Stumpy but I have noticed the disgusting attitude shown by players: I don't know how often I've joined a game, and regularly get stuff like "you guys suck! Stop F*cking Dying!" From the player with the highest frags in the match. More often that not it is some Clan player with a very fat ego problem. cs[uk] have brought us yet another extremely entertaining article, originally unintended to be uploaded. The story goes that Stumpy_cat, a mere viewer of the site sent in some feedback, which raised some important views. Sanch3z, the Site Admin, decided
that he would present it to the CS community, and now it has not only became a great success, but piled on a few its for the site:
"So there I was. CS loaded, the map came up ( cs_thunder) and I was in. The first thing to greet me was some player called H@xZ0rZ. Apparently my ping of 25 was in some way offensive to him and I was branded a loozer against his leet skillz, even though I was killing him every time." Check it out here.

Unfortunately there is very little to report on as things as taking longer than was initially expected! However we are told that we can expect some "really excellent 1.3 maps..." "with more being tested all the time."
